A 28 camera kit gives large commercial or multi-building sites enough channels for full perimeter, internal and car park coverage from a single recorder. This range holds 161 kit variants, mostly built on 32-channel NVR/DVR platforms with 28 cameras populated, leaving spare channels for later expansion.
What's in these kits
- Recorder channel count: 32-channel recorders are standard here, giving four spare channels beyond the 28 installed cameras.
- Camera resolution: Mixes range from 2MP dome/PTZ units up to 5MP and 4K bullet cameras, sometimes combined within one kit (e.g. 19 x 5MP with 9 x 4K).
- PTZ vs fixed: Several kits substitute a block of PTZ cameras (e.g. DS-2AE4225T or DS-2AE5225TI, both 2MP) for fixed bullets, useful where operators need active tracking on key approaches.
- Storage: Recording capacity is supplied as multiple drives per kit, commonly 2-4 x 6TB, 10TB or 12TB, sized to camera count and resolution.
How to choose
- Match camera resolution to the detail level each area needs — 4K for number plates or faces at distance, 2MP/5MP for general coverage.
- Check whether PTZ channels are included; fixed-only kits suit static perimeters, PTZ-mixed kits suit sites needing operator-directed zoom.
- Confirm total storage against your expected retention period — higher resolution and more 4K channels consume drive capacity faster.
