Every kit in this range pairs 18 cameras with a single 32-channel Hikvision recorder, leaving headroom for additional channels later. Camera counts are 18 even though recorders support 32 channels, so there's spare capacity for expansion without swapping hardware.
Resolutions across the range run from 2MP to 5MP, and camera types include turret, bullet, and PTZ models. Some kits mix camera types on one recorder — for example, 17 turret cameras plus 1 bullet, or a 2MP PTZ and 5MP bullet combination — useful where a site needs both fixed coverage and pan-tilt-zoom on entrances or yards.
Storage is built into the recorder as one or more internal hard drives — a "2× 12TB" or "3× 8TB" listing means multiple drives fitted inside the single 32-channel unit, not separate recorders. Total capacity scales with resolution, frame rate and retention period required on site.
How to choose
- Camera type — turret for discreet indoor/outdoor coverage, bullet for visible deterrent, PTZ where operators need to track movement.
- Resolution — 5MP for detail-critical areas (entrances, tills), 2MP where wide coverage matters more than pixel density.

Do these kits use one recorder or several?
Each kit uses a single 32-channel Hikvision recorder. Listings such as "2× 12TB" refer to multiple hard drives fitted inside that one recorder, not multiple recorders.
Why are there only 18 cameras on a 32-channel recorder?
The extra channels give spare capacity, so more cameras can be added later on the same recorder without replacing it.
