All kits in this range use a 32-channel recorder, giving headroom above the 20 installed cameras for future expansion without a recorder swap. Camera counts and resolutions vary by kit: options include all-5MP bullet configurations (DS-2CE12KF0T, DS-2CE12KF3T, DS-2CE17K0T), mixed 2MP–5MP builds pairing PTZ units (DS-2AE4225T, DS-2AE5225TI) with 5MP bullets, and a mixed 5MP–4K bullet configuration.
Storage is bundled per kit, ranging from dual-bay recorders with 12TB drives up to triple-bay configurations totalling 18TB or more, so recorder/drive combination is a key differentiator between otherwise similar camera line-ups.
How to choose
- Camera mix — all-bullet kits suit fixed-view coverage; kits including PTZ units (DS-2AE4225T, DS-2AE5225TI) suit sites needing active pan/tilt/zoom coverage of specific areas.
- Resolution — 5MP bullets throughout give consistent image quality; mixed 5MP–4K kits trade some uniformity for higher-resolution coverage on selected cameras.
- Recorder and storage — check recorder model (e.g. IDS-7332HUHI, IDS-7232HQHI) and total drive capacity against your required retention period.
- Part-number compatibility — note which bullet variant (KF0T, KF3T, K0T) is fitted per camera position when planning spares or future additions.
