This range covers complete 8-camera CCTV kits pairing a recorder with eight matched cameras and a pre-fitted hard drive. Recorder channel counts span 8-channel DVR through to 16-channel and 32-channel NVR/DVR platforms, so an 8-camera install can be specified on a recorder sized for future expansion or on a tighter 8-channel unit matched exactly to the camera count.
How to choose
- Recorder type: NVR kits (Hikvision DS-7616NI-M2/16P, DS-7616NXI-K2/16P(E), DS-7732NI-M4/24P) use PoE-fed IP cameras; DVR kits (iDS-7216HUHI-M2/XT, Prolux PXD-5108HS-4K/X1) use HD analogue-style turret/PTZ cameras.
- Headroom for expansion: a 32-channel NVR populated with 8 cameras leaves channels free for later additions, whereas the 8-channel Prolux DVR is sized to the kit as supplied.
