A 2 Camera Kit pairs a pre-loaded recorder — DVR or NVR — with two matching cameras and a hard drive, giving a complete, tested small-site system in one part number. This range spans 8-channel and 16-channel recorders, so headroom for future camera additions is built in from day one.
How to choose
- Recorder type: DVR kits (Dahua XVR, Prolux, Hikvision) run analogue-style HD-TVI/AHD cameras over coax; NVR kits (Longse) run IP cameras over network cable, often with PoE.
- Channel count: 8-channel recorders suit small residential or retail jobs; 16-channel units (e.g. XVR-3116HS-5MP-LITE, Prolux PXD-8216-HYK4MP) leave 14 spare channels for expansion.
- Camera resolution and format: most kits ship with 5MP cameras (Hikvision DS-2CE7x/DS-2CD10 series); a 4MP option (Prolux PXC-612C4W-A-POC) is also available.
- Camera style: options include turret, dome and PIR-integrated models such as the Hikvision DS-2CE12KF3T-PIRXO and DS-2CE72KF3T-PIRXO for combined detection and recording.
- Storage: every kit in this range includes a 6TB HDD as standard, sized for two-camera continuous recording.

What's the difference between the DVR and NVR kits in this range?
DVR kits use coax-connected HD-TVI/AHD cameras, while NVR kits (such as the Longse NVR3016E1P8) use network-connected IP cameras, generally over PoE.
Do these kits come with a hard drive included?
Yes, every 2 Camera Kit in this range includes a 6TB HDD as standard.
Can I add more cameras later to an 8-channel kit?
An 8-channel recorder has 6 spare channels beyond the 2 supplied cameras, and a 16-channel unit leaves 14 spare, so both allow for expansion.
Are all the cameras in these kits the same resolution?
Most kits pair 5MP cameras with the recorder, though at least one kit (DVR-8CH-HYL8MP) uses 4MP Prolux cameras instead.
