Black Kits are complete recorder-and-camera bundles, all finished in black rather than the standard white/grey housings. The range spans 4, 8 and 32-channel recorders, each paired with a fixed set of black turret cameras and pre-sized hard drive storage.
Channel count does not always equal camera count. An 8-channel kit may ship with 8 cameras or with just 4 (leaving spare channels for later expansion), and the 32-channel kits in this range come with 14, 15 or 16 cameras rather than a full 32 — so always check the listed camera count on the specific kit, not just the recorder's channel rating.
How to choose
- Channel count vs camera count — confirm both figures; spare channels let you add cameras later without a recorder swap.
- Storage capacity — kits are supplied with drives from 6TB up to 3× or 4× 14TB on the larger 32-channel systems; match capacity to retention needs.
- Camera model — most kits use standard black turret cameras, some specify the DS-2CD2387G3 or DS-2CE78U0T-LTS-BLACK variants; check the exact model against your existing estate for spares compatibility.
