Bandwidth planning

160 Mbps incoming is the number that decides what you can actually run on this box. Sixteen 8MP streams at high bitrate will not all fit simultaneously — mix resolutions and bitrates across channels to stay within budget, particularly on sites where every channel is genuinely needed at full 8MP.

PoE and cabling

All 16 channels have built-in PoE, so no separate injectors or switch budget calculations are needed for camera power on a standard install. ePoE support extends usable cable run length beyond standard PoE, which matters on larger sites or where the recorder sits some distance from the furthest camera.

Compatibility

ONVIF compliance means this NVR isn't locked to Prolux cameras alone — third-party IP cameras conforming to ONVIF can be added to the system.
