Budgeting the PoE load
The 45W total, not the port count, decides how many cameras you can run at full draw. Three cameras at 15W each use all of it, and one camera pulling 30W in AT mode leaves 15W for everything else. Add up the real draw of each camera before you commit to eight.
For distant positions, extended mode covers runs up to 200m. Check that your cabling follows the 45/78 line order.
Commissioning note
Some units prompt for a password on first setup even though none was set. The online manual gives 12345 as the default, but it may not work on a unit that already has a password. Enter recovery email and security questions during handover so the end user cannot be locked out.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the default password for the Longse NVR3109S1P8?
The online manual lists 12345. It might not function if a password has already been configured on the unit.
When I first set up the NVR it asked for a password, though I never created one. What now?
Occasionally a unit may arrive with a password already set. The reset steps are explained on Longse's official FAQ page under Support/FAQ/Recorder.
Can I get locked out if no recovery email or security questions are set?
Some buyers have been unable to use Forgot Password for exactly that reason, and the default password did not work either. Seller or manufacturer support was needed to resolve it.
