Product Description
Hikvision DS-7204HGHI 4-Ch DVR + 500GB Pre-Installed
A 4-channel 1U DVR with a 500GB hard drive already fitted, ready to deploy on install without sourcing storage separately.
Key specs
- Channels: 4 — supports up to four connected CCTV cameras
- Recording resolution: 1080p
- Compression: H.265, for more efficient storage than H.264 on equivalent drive capacity
- Chassis: 1U form factor
- Storage: 500GB HDD pre-installed
On the job
This is a recorder only — cameras are supplied and connected separately, so confirm camera count and compatibility before quoting the job. The 4-channel limit is fixed on this unit; a 5th camera needs a different model DVR.
The 1U chassis keeps the footprint low for rack or shelf mounting on site. H.265 compression is the newer standard versus H.264, which means the same 500GB drive holds more recorded footage before it needs overwriting or archiving — useful when planning retention periods against drive capacity on smaller installs.
For distributors and integrators
Stock this as a drop-in 4-channel recorder for jobs where four cameras cover the site and a pre-loaded drive saves a step at commissioning. Check downstream compatibility with existing Hikvision camera stock before spec'ing into a wider multi-DVR estate.
