Specifying this on a job
This is a 4-channel recorder — no more, no fewer. If the site brief calls for a 5th camera now or later, this unit won't cover it; spec a higher-channel Hikvision DVR instead. It records at 1080p, so any camera feeding it a higher resolution gets recorded down to 1080p, not up.
As a 1U DVR it expects standard analogue/HD-TVI camera cabling — it is not built for IP camera networks, so don't spec it where the design calls for PoE/IP cameras.
The 2TB drive ships fitted, so there's no separate storage line item to add for a straight 4-camera install.
