Deployment notes
The DS-7204HGHI-M1 suits 4-camera jobs where a compact 1U recorder is preferred over a full rack chassis — house, single shop unit, small office. The 1TB drive ships fitted, so there's no separate disk purchase or install step before commissioning.
H.265 compression is the main lever for retention planning on this model: for a given storage budget it holds more recorded hours than an equivalent H.264 unit, which matters when sizing the 1TB drive against channel count, resolution and expected motion/activity per camera.
Spec to a 4-channel, 1080p brief. If the site needs more than 4 inputs, or you're standardising on a higher-channel Hikvision HGHI-series unit across a multi-site rollout, check channel count before quoting — this SKU is fixed at 4 channels with the 1TB drive as supplied.
