8ch 5MP AcuSense DVR IDS-7208HUHI-K2/4S 1U H.265

An 8-channel Turbo hybrid recorder for mixed analogue/IP jobs. The IDS-7208HUHI-K2/4S accepts HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP camera inputs on the same channel set, letting installers keep existing coax runs while adding IP cameras in hybrid mode — up to 16 IP cameras when Enhanced mode is enabled.

Detection and recording

AcuSense Motion Detection 2.0 applies deep learning to classify human and vehicle targets, distinguishing them from environmental motion such as shadows or animals. Line crossing and intrusion detection are supported for perimeter-monitoring setups. Recording resolution reaches 8MP at 8 frames per second, encoded in H.265 Pro+ to manage storage and bandwidth load across channels.

Outputs and storage

HDMI output goes up to 4K, with simultaneous VGA output for a second local display. Two SATA interfaces are supported, each accepting drives up to 10TB, for a maximum of 20TB of onboard storage. NAS and iSCSI protocols are supported for network-attached storage expansion.

Connectivity

Audio over coaxial cable is supported on all analogue channels. Remote access and integration run via Hik-Connect and ONVIF, alongside standard network protocols — useful where the recorder needs to sit inside a wider VMS or multi-brand system.

This spec set suits installers upgrading legacy analogue sites incrementally, or building hybrid systems that need IP expansion without swapping out existing coax infrastructure.
