Why the 2-wire architecture matters on site
The DS-KAD704Y distributor runs power and signal over a single twisted pair, so this kit is specified where existing 2-core intercom wiring needs replacing without re-cabling. Confirm the existing run's condition before quoting — the distributor is designed for 2-wire, not standard Cat5/PoE topology, so don't mix it into an existing PoE intercom install without checking compatibility first.
Operation
The door station's single call button rings the indoor monitor directly; the touchscreen handles call answer, visitor viewing and door lock release.
