Hikvision DS-KD8003-IME1(B)-Surface 2MP IP Video Intercom Door Station

Overview

The DS-KD8003-IME1(B)-Surface is the main door station unit in Hikvision's KD8 Series Pro modular IP intercom range. It handles door-entry video and communication and accepts additional KD8 modules, such as card readers or keypads, for expanded access control.

Key specs

• Camera: 2MP fisheye sensor with IR illumination for day/night visitor identification and wide-angle entrance coverage
• Mounting: surface-mount design for wall installation
• Call control: one physical call button
• Lock outputs: two door lock control outputs for electric strikes or maglocks
• Power: standard PoE for combined power and data over a single network cable
• Auxiliary output: 12V 500mA output, enough to drive an electric lock directly without a separate PSU
• Ingress rating: IP65, for outdoor mounting

Installation notes

Running PoE simplifies cabling on multi-door jobs since a single Cat5e/6 run carries both power and data to the unit. The 12V 500mA auxiliary output removes the need for a dedicated lock power supply on straightforward single-door setups, though higher-draw locks may still require external power.

Compatibility

As a KD8 Series Pro main unit, it is designed to pair with other modules in the same series for card reader or keypad expansion, per Hikvision's modular door station architecture.
