DS-2DE4A225IW-DE(S6) is a 2MP PoE PTZ dome built for long-throw coverage: 25× optical zoom with a motorised 4.8–120mm lens, IR to 50m, and full 360° pan / -5° to 90° tilt on a single PoE run.
Optics and sensor
1/2.8" progressive scan CMOS delivers 1920×1080 at up to 25× optical zoom. Horizontal field of view runs 54.9° at wide angle down to 2.7° at full telephoto, per the lens spec table — useful for confirming FoV against a target distance before quoting a job. Powered-by-DarkFighter processing pushes usable colour imaging down to 0.005 lux, with Smart Supplement IR extending night coverage to 50m.
PTZ and analytics
Continuous 360° pan and -5° to 90° tilt, with up to 300 presets for automated patrol sequencing. On-board analytics cover face detection, line crossing, intrusion detection, unattended baggage detection and object removal detection — no separate VCA licence mentioned in spec.
