Hikvision's DS-2CE72DF3T-PIRXOS(2.8MM) is a 2MP HDTVI turret camera built for analog upgrades where deterrence matters as much as image capture. It outputs a single HD analog (TVI) feed, so it drops onto existing coax/TVI runs without a platform change.
ColorVu and low-light handling
The F1.0 aperture and ColorVu processing hold colour output down to 0.0005 Lux (AGC on), and drop to 0 Lux once the built-in white light is active. White-light illumination reaches up to ~20 m, giving usable colour scenes at night rather than mono IR frames. WDR is rated ≥130 dB for backlit entrances and mixed-contrast scenes, backed by 3D/2D DNR.
PIR and deterrence stack
A built-in PIR sensor covers ~11 m at ~110°, detecting body heat rather than relying on motion pixels alone — useful for cutting false triggers from vehicle headlights or foliage. On confirmed presence the camera can fire its integrated siren plus flashing red/blue strobe, with mic and speaker for two-way audio over coax.
