DS-2CD2T47G2-L: 4MP ColorVu bullet with white-light illumination

The DS-2CD2T47G2-L is Hikvision's 4MP ColorVu fixed bullet, built for full-colour footage around the clock rather than switching to mono IR at night.

Sensor and optics

A 1/1.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor delivers 2688 × 1520 resolution. The fixed 4mm F1.0 lens gives a 95° horizontal field of view, and the wide aperture is what lets ColorVu hold colour rendition down to very low light levels.

Night performance

Instead of IR, this model uses integrated white light, rated to 60m, to maintain full-colour images after dark. On long PoE runs, factor in that illuminator draw increases current demand at night — undersized cable or a marginal PSU/switch budget can show up as flicker or dropout, so size the run accordingly.

Analytics and compression

Onboard deep learning handles human and vehicle classification, cutting false triggers from irrelevant motion. Perimeter tools include line crossing detection, intrusion detection, and face capture. H.265+ keeps bitrate and storage demand down.

Storage and build

Standalone recording is supported via microSD up to 512GB. The housing is metal, rated IP67, and the camera is powered over a single PoE run for combined data and power.
