The IDS-7216HQHI-M1/XT is a 16-channel, 1U, single-HDD hybrid DVR built for jobs that mix analogue and IP cameras on one recorder.
Input and recording
Five signal types are accepted adaptively per analogue channel — HDTVI, AHD, CVI, CVBS and IP — so existing coax runs don't need ripping out on an upgrade. Analogue recording tops out at 3K/5MP Lite at 12fps, encoded in H.265 Pro+ to cut bitrate and storage load versus H.264. Switch the unit to hybrid mode and it scales to 24 IP camera inputs, each accepting up to 6MP, with decoding rated at 24×1080p@30fps for multi-channel live view and playback.
AcuSense analytics
Deep-learning AcuSense classifies human and vehicle motion to cut false triggers from irrelevant movement. Facial recognition runs on up to 4 analogue channels, or step up to perimeter protection on up to 8 channels — the two features are mutually exclusive channel allocations, not additive. All 16 channels get motion detection and HDTVI two-way audio; AcuSearch runs across all 16 for fast event retrieval.
Storage and outputs
One SATA bay takes a single HDD up to 12TB, with NAS and iSCSI available for network-attached expansion beyond that. HDMI output runs to 4K; VGA is capped at Full HD — plan monitor selection accordingly on multi-output installs.
