Product Description
Male DC 2.1mm plug with screw-terminal termination for 12V CCTV power runs — no soldering required.
Fits the standard 5.5mm OD x 2.1mm ID DC barrel socket found on the vast majority of CCTV cameras, DVR/NVR power inputs, and 12V LED driver connections. Positive and negative conductors land in separate screw terminals, so polarity stays clear even in a dim cabinet or first-fix box.
Why this matters on site
- Solder-free termination — strip, seat, tighten. No iron, no flux, no waiting for joints to cool before insulating.
- Field-repairable — a damaged lead can be re-terminated in minutes rather than replaced outright; loosen the two screws, re-strip, re-seat.
- Compact barrel body — clears easily inside junction boxes and power distribution enclosures where space around the gland is tight.
- Male plug — this is the end that inserts into the camera, DVR, NVR, or LED driver socket; pair with a female screw-terminal connector if you need the corresponding chassis/inline socket.
Where it's used
Suited to CCTV camera power leads, DVR/NVR PSU connections, LED lighting runs, and general 12V DC field wiring where a factory-moulded plug isn't practical — e.g. extending a run, repairing a severed cable, or building custom leads to length on the bench or up a ladder.
Note: voltage drop on long or thin cable runs can cause IR LEDs to flicker at night — check cable gauge and length against the camera's rated current when terminating new runs.

Frequently Asked Questions
What socket size does this plug fit?
It's built to the standard 5.5mm outer diameter x 2.1mm inner diameter DC socket used on most CCTV cameras, DVRs, NVRs and 12V LED drivers.
Do I need to solder the cable to this connector?
No — it uses a screw terminal, so you strip the conductors and tighten them into place without any soldering.
Is this the plug or the socket end?
This is the male plug, the end that pushes into a camera, DVR, NVR or driver's DC input socket.
Can I use this to repair a damaged CCTV power lead?
Yes — cut back the damaged section, strip the conductors, and re-terminate them into the screw terminals in place of the old moulded plug.
