12V DC CCTV Male and Female Power Connector Plug and Socket Adapter

A 5.5mm/2.1mm DC power connector pair does the job: one screw-terminal male plug, one matching female jack, both sized to the standard barrel-connector interface fitted to the vast majority of 12V DC CCTV cameras, DVRs and NVRs on site.

Fit and termination

Outer diameter 5.5mm, inner diameter 2.1mm — the DC barrel size used across most CCTV camera power inputs, PSU outputs and LED driver connections rated at 12V DC. Termination is by cable-mount screw contacts inside the shell, so conductors are clamped rather than soldered — useful for first-fix work where a soldering iron isn't practical.

Where this matters on install

Poor or corroded barrel connections are a common contributor to voltage drop at the camera end, which shows up as IR flicker or dropout once night-mode current draw rises. A sound mechanical crimp/screw termination at both ends of a joint reduces that risk versus a taped or twisted splice. Not a substitute for correct cable gauge or PSU sizing on long runs, but a proper way to terminate or join within a 12V DC circuit.
