The Hikvision DS-3E0105P-E/M(B) is an unmanaged Fast Ethernet PoE switch designed for small surveillance and network deployments. It provides five Ethernet ports, including four PoE ports for powering IP cameras or other PoE devices and one uplink port for connection to a network recorder, router, or core switch. Each PoE port supports IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at standards, delivering up to 30W per port with a total power budget of approximately 35W, making the switch suitable for powering multiple surveillance cameras from a single unit. The switch includes long-range PoE transmission mode, allowing connected cameras to operate at distances up to 300 metres when extended mode is enabled. This capability is useful for perimeter surveillance, warehouses, car parks, and other installations where cameras must be deployed far from the network cabinet. For electrical protection and stability, the device integrates 6kV surge protection, helping protect connected equipment from lightning surges or unstable power conditions often found in outdoor installations.
