Product Description
BALUN-RJ45-TO-BNC-T-TYPE-8MP is a passive video balun transceiver pair for CCTV signal transmission over UTP cable, rated for 8MP resolution support.
What it does
Each pair converts BNC coax signal to a balanced twisted-pair signal (and back), letting installers run CCTV video over Cat5e or Cat6 structured cabling instead of coax. No power supply is needed — the conversion is fully passive at both ends.
Format compatibility
- HD-CVI
- HD-TVI
- AHD
- Standard analogue CCTV
Because it covers all four formats up to 8MP, one balun pair can be stocked against mixed HD-over-coax jobs without matching it to a specific DVR generation.
Connections
- Camera/DVR side: standard BNC connector, direct connection to cameras and recorders
- Cable side: UTP terminal for Cat5e or Cat6
Where it's used
Suited to installs where structured network cabling is already in place, or where the run length or routing makes coax impractical — commercial, residential and industrial CCTV alike. Using existing Cat5e/Cat6 infrastructure can cut cabling costs and simplify first-fix on larger sites.
