Product Description
Recorder
The IDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT is a 4-channel, 5MP, 1U, H.265 AcuSense DVR — a single-camera deployment leaves 3 channels free for expansion without a recorder swap.
Camera
Pairs with 1× DS-2CE78K0T-LPTS, a Hikvision 3K fixed turret with two-way audio, fixed-mount only.
What's included
- iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT DVR — 4ch, 5MP, 1U, H.265, AcuSense
- DS-2CE78K0T-LPTS 3K fixed turret camera, two-way audio
- HDMI cable, 1.5m, rated 4K 60Hz, HDMI-A male to male
- PSU-12V-1A-UK-BOX power supply
- RG59 BNC/DC shotgun lead, 20m, combined video and power run from camera to DVR
Cabling and expansion notes
The 20m RG59 shotgun lead carries both video and DC power in a single run, cutting down on second cable pulls for the initial camera. Because the DVR ships as a 4-channel unit populated with only one camera, the remaining 3 channels are available for future additions on the same recorder — useful where an install starts at one covered point (till, door, gate) and may grow.
If night-time footage flickers or drops out after installation, check the power run first: IR LEDs draw more current after dark, and a long or under-rated cable run can cause voltage drop on that camera feed.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many camera channels does the recorder support?
The iDS-7204HQHI-M1/XT is a 4-channel DVR, so 3 channels remain free when only the supplied single camera is connected.
Does the camera support audio?
Yes — the included DS-2CE78K0T-LPTS is a fixed turret camera with two-way audio.
What cabling is included for the camera run?
A 20m RG59 BNC/DC shotgun lead is included, carrying both video and power from camera to DVR in one cable.
Why might the camera image flicker at night?
Flickering or dropout at night is often linked to insufficient power at the camera — check the PSU rating and cable run length if this occurs.
