Product Description
What it is
A Cat6 RJ45 wall socket faceplate that terminates a structured cabling run and presents a fixed female RJ45 port at the wall — the outlet end of a data run, not a patch lead.
Where it fits on a job
On CCTV installs it gives a PoE camera, NVR, switch or PC a permanent termination point instead of a cable trailing out of a back box. Use it at camera positions, comms cupboards or any point where a structured cable needs a clean, fixed outlet.
Specification
- Connector: standard RJ45 female network port
- Cabling: compatible with Cat6 Ethernet cabling systems
- Mounting: designed to fit a standard wall back box
- Application: structured cabling installations — home, office or commercial network points
- Function: provides a fixed LAN connection point for network devices
Before you order
Confirm the cable run behind the plate is genuine Cat6 — the socket is rated to match that standard, and performance depends on the cable, containment and termination quality on site. Check your back box is a standard size before first-fix, since the faceplate is built to mount into one.
This is a passive termination point — it carries the signal through, it doesn't add PoE budget or switching capacity, so plan your PoE source (switch or injector) separately.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does this faceplate work with Cat6 cabling?
Yes — it's built to be compatible with Cat6 Ethernet cabling systems.
What back box does it need?
It's designed for wall mounting in a standard back box, so confirm one is fitted before first-fix.
Can I use this for a PoE CCTV camera or NVR?
It provides a fixed RJ45 LAN connection point suitable for network devices, including camera and NVR runs, but it's a passive termination — PoE power still comes from your switch or injector.
Is this just a network outlet, or does it include a patch lead?
It's the wall-mounted outlet only — a standard RJ45 female port for terminating a structured cable run, not a patch cable.
