Product Description
Ethernet-Splitter-adapter-RJ45-Waterproof-PoE lets two nearby IP cameras share one cable run back to the PoE switch. The set is a sender/receiver pair: the sender plugs into two open ports on a standard PoE switch, a single cable runs out to the camera location, and the receiver breaks that back out into two short RJ45 leads for the cameras.
How it works
- Sender unit: connects to 2 open ports on your PoE switch, combines the signal onto 1 cable run.
- Receiver unit: splits the incoming cable back into 2 RJ45 connections for 2 cameras sited near each other.
- Works with standard PoE network switches — plug-and-play, no configuration.
Where it saves labour
On corner installs where two cameras sit close together but a long distance from the switch, this halves the home-run cabling — one cable instead of two. It's equally useful retrofitting a second camera next to an existing one without pulling a fresh cable all the way back to the switch cabinet.
Outdoor placement
The Receiver Unit uses weatherproof RJ45 connectors, so it can be fully exposed to the weather at the camera end. No stated weatherproof rating on the Sender unit, which is intended for the switch-side location.
Note: this is a PoE passthrough/splitter accessory, not a switch — it depends on an existing PoE switch with two spare ports.
