Product Description
The Pyronix SMOKE-WE2 wireless smoke detector is a second-generation optical (photoelectric) detector for compatible Pyronix alarm systems. It talks to the panel over radio, so there is no signal cable to pull.

Maintenance planning
The detector runs from two separate power sources. The sensor battery has a stated 10-year life, while the CR123A that powers the radio is the part you will be swapping, at roughly two-year intervals. Because the panel receives low-battery supervision for the radio module, a flat cell shows up as a system report rather than something found on a site visit.
Two-way communication and encryption on 868MHz mean the detector is a supervised device on the panel, not a standalone alarm head with a radio add-on.
