16-Channel DVR & NVR Recorders

This range covers 16-channel recorders spanning both DVR (analogue/HD-TVI/hybrid) and NVR (PoE IP) architectures, from 1080p through to 8MP and 4K/8K-class models.

What's in the range

• HD-TVI / hybrid DVRs: Hikvision 5MP and 1080p 1U H.265 AcuSense models, the Hikvision iDS-7216HQHI-M1/S, Dahua's EZ-IP XVR1B16-I (4MP Penta-brid), and PROLUX's PXD-8216-HYK4MP, listed as a like-for-like equivalent to the Hikvision DS-7216HQHI-K1.
• PoE NVRs: Hikvision's 1U 16 PoE 4K and 8K NVRs, the Hikvision 16-ch PoE 1U K Series AcuSense 4K NVR, ANNKE's 12MP PoE H.265+ NVR with 4K HDMI output, and the Prolux PXN-5216-16P-4KS2E 8MP ePoE NVR.
• An unbranded 5MP hybrid DVR is also included.

How to choose

• Camera type on site: analogue/HD-TVI cameras need a DVR (or Penta-brid hybrid); IP cameras need an NVR with built-in PoE ports if you want single-cable installs.
• Resolution ceiling: check the recorder's stated maximum (1080p, 4MP, 5MP, 8MP, 4K, 8K) matches or exceeds your camera resolution.
• Output: several models specify 4K HDMI output for monitor/wall display regardless of recording resolution.
• Cross-compatibility: the PROLUX PXD-8216 is positioned as a direct Hikvision DS-7216HQHI-K1 equivalent — useful for matching an existing estate.
• PoE port count: PoE NVRs in this range provide 16 ports, matching the channel count for direct camera connection without a separate switch.
