Product Description
The BU240 is a 16-way 12V DC power distribution box for multi-camera CCTV installs. A 250W switching supply converts 100–240V AC mains input to regulated 12V DC, rated for 20A total output across the 16 channels.
Key specs
- Output: 12V DC, 20A total, spread across 16 individually fused channels
- Input: 100–240V AC mains
- Backup: integrated charging circuit for a 12V sealed lead-acid battery, with automatic switchover on mains loss
- Status: LED indicators for power and output activity
- Enclosure: lockable metal case, wall-mount
Fused channel layout
Each of the 16 outputs carries its own fuse. On a fault, that channel is isolated without dropping power to the other cameras on the run — relevant on larger installs where one bad connector shouldn't take the whole panel down.
Backup power
The built-in charging circuit accepts a 12V sealed lead-acid battery and switches to it automatically if mains input fails, keeping connected cameras powered through an outage.
Fit for the job
Internal terminal blocks give organised access for camera wiring and battery connection. The unit suits analog, HD-TVI, AHD and CVI camera systems needing centralised 12V DC distribution with backup, mounted in a comms room, security cabinet, or cabling enclosure.
