Product Description
The Raspberry Pi Official 32GB MicroSD Card is a removable flash storage solution developed for Raspberry Pi single-board computers and compatible microSDHC host devices. Designed to meet the SD 6.1 specification, the card provides 32GB of storage capacity for operating system installations, application files, configuration data and embedded computing projects.
The card carries Class 10 (C10), UHS Speed Class 3 (U3), Video Speed Class V30 and Application Performance Class A2 ratings. Its A2 classification supports workloads involving frequent random read and write operations, making it suitable for Linux operating systems and applications that access multiple small files.
DDR50 and SDR104 bus modes are supported, together with the Command Queueing extension. When installed in a compatible Raspberry Pi 5 running suitable software, command queueing permits more efficient management of storage requests.
Manufacturer-specified random 4KB performance reaches 3,200 read IOPS and 1,200 write IOPS on Raspberry Pi 4 using DDR50. On Raspberry Pi 5 using SDR104, performance reaches 5,000 read IOPS and 2,000 write IOPS.
For security infrastructure applications, the card can provide operating system and configuration storage in Raspberry Pi-based network monitoring, automation and equipment management systems. It can also be used for software development, embedded controllers and network diagnostic devices.
The standard microSD form factor measures 15 × 11 × 1mm. Operating voltage is 2.7–3.6V, with a specified operating temperature range of -25°C to +85°C.
Raspberry Pi offers both unprogrammed and Raspberry Pi OS pre-programmed versions of its SD cards.
