3TB SATA HDD for CCTV surveillance – 7200 RPM (SKU HDD-3TB-Pre-installed, MPN HDD-3TB-3.5-R, also listed as HDD-3TB-MIX-R) is a 3.5" drive supplied fitted with any of our CCTV kits and packages.
Key specs
- Capacity: 3TB
- Form factor: 3.5" SATA
- Interface: SATA III
- Spindle speed: 7200 RPM
- Duty: 24/7 continuous recording
- Fitment: installed and ready to go before dispatch
On the job
The drive is compatible with all DVR and NVR surveillance systems, so one part number covers both analogue-style recorders and network recorders in a mixed estate.
Nothing needs doing at the rack: the drive is already in the recorder when the kit arrives, which saves bench time on multi-site rollouts.
Capacity is the limit to plan around. Retention depends on channel count, resolution and frame rate, so work that out per project before you settle on 3TB.
Outside CCTV
The same SATA III drive also works in desktops, servers, NAS devices and external enclosures, so a spare can be reused if a recorder is retired.
