Seagate 1TB - HDD 3.5" SATA Hard Drives - Ideal for 24/7 continuous recording

The Seagate 1TB SATA Hard Drive for CCTV & DVR (MPN ST1000VM002, SKU HDD-1TB-SEAGATE-SLIM-R) is a Seagate Pipeline HD video drive for recorders that write footage around the clock.

Spec summary

• Capacity: 1TB, supporting up to 1,000 hours of video storage
• Form factor: 3.5-inch
• Interface: SATA III
• Duty: 24/7 continuous recording
• Drive features: built-in error recovery, high burst data transfer rates, advanced caching
• Operating profile: ultra-quiet, energy-efficient, minimal heat output

Compatibility

It is listed as suitable for all DVR and NVR surveillance systems. It also works in desktops, servers, NAS devices and external enclosures, so a drive lifted from a recorder can be reused for general storage. Home cinema systems and IPTV set-top boxes are further applications for the Pipeline HD.

The 1,000-hour figure is a ceiling. Retention on a given job depends on channel count, resolution and the bitrate each camera records at, so size the drive against the recorder's configuration.

Fitted to the kit

The drive can be installed with any of our CCTV kits and packages, supplied fully installed and ready to go, which removes a bench step for installers.
