Product Description
WD5000AAKX-60U6AA0 — a 500GB 3.5" SATA hard drive from Western Digital, supplied ready-fitted when ordered with any CCTV kit or package from this range.
Key specs
- Capacity: 500GB
- Spindle speed: 7200 RPM
- Interface: SATA III
- Form factor: 3.5"
Built for continuous write cycles
DVR and NVR recorders write to disk constantly rather than intermittently, which is the operating profile this drive is rated for — Western Digital positions it for 24/7 continuous recording, external storage and backup server duty. Advanced Format technology increases media efficiency, which is how the drive reaches its stated capacity within the platter design.
Compatibility
Compatible with all DVR and NVR surveillance systems, so it's not tied to a single recorder brand or generation. Outside CCTV, the same drive works in desktops, servers, NAS devices and external enclosures — useful if a unit gets repurposed off a job.
Fitment
Ordered alongside any CCTV kit or package from this store, the drive arrives fully installed and ready to go before dispatch — no need to open the recorder chassis on site to fit it yourself.
F.I.T. Lab™ tested for compatibility, and WD's noise-reducing technologies apply to this drive. Free Acronis™ True Image™ WD Edition software is available for download separately.
