The Titus HDMI extender allows HDMI video and audio signals to be transmitted over longer distances using standard network cabling. The system consists of a transmitter unit with HDMI input and a receiver unit with HDMI output, connected using a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. This extender supports HDMI transmission distances up to 50 metres between the transmitter and receiver while maintaining Full HD resolution up to 1080p. It operates within the HDMI 1.3 specification and supports HDCP 1.2, enabling compatibility with many HDMI source devices and displays. The device supports a bandwidth of up to 165 MHz, allowing stable transmission of high-definition video signals. HDMI extenders of this type are commonly used where direct HDMI cable runs are impractical due to distance limitations. Typical applications include connecting media players, DVR or NVR recorders, computers, digital signage systems and AV equipment to remote televisions, monitors or projectors located up to 50 metres away.
