Datto AP840 WiFi 6 802.11ax Cloud Managed Indoor Access Point

The Datto Networking AP840 is a cloud managed indoor WiFi 6 access point designed for high density wireless environments such as offices, commercial buildings and enterprise networks. Built on the 802.11ax wireless standard, the device provides improved network efficiency, higher throughput and better performance in environments with many connected devices. The access point operates on dual bands including 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies. It supports 4x4 MU-MIMO and OFDMA technologies, allowing simultaneous communication with multiple wireless clients while improving overall network capacity. The device delivers a combined rated throughput of up to 3.6 Gbps, with 1148 Mbps available on the 2.4 GHz band and up to 2400 Mbps on the 5 GHz band. For wired connectivity, the AP840 includes one 2.5 Gbps multi-gigabit Ethernet port and one Gigabit Ethernet port, enabling high-speed uplink connections to network infrastructure. Power is supplied using 802.3at Power over Ethernet, simplifying installation by allowing both power and network connectivity through a single cable. The unit supports cloud management features including automatic firmware updates, remote configuration and monitoring. Additional capabilities include captive portal support, user management, seamless roaming and self-forming mesh networking. Designed for indoor environments, the AP840 can be mounted on ceilings, walls or T-rail structures using the included installation kit.
