The UKVISION UK-SW-8-1000 is an unmanaged Layer 2 Gigabit Ethernet switch designed for high-speed network expansion in CCTV and general LAN environments. It features eight RJ45 ports supporting 10/100/1000Mbps auto-negotiation, enabling compatibility with a wide range of network devices including IP cameras, NVRs, routers, and workstations. Each port supports Auto MDI/MDIX, allowing direct connection using standard Ethernet cables without the need for crossover cables. The switch utilises MAC address self-learning with automatic aging to dynamically build and maintain its forwarding table, ensuring efficient packet switching across connected devices. Operating on a store-and-forward switching method, the unit verifies data integrity before forwarding frames, supporting stable transmission in small to medium network deployments. The unmanaged design allows immediate installation with no configuration required, making it suitable for plug-and-play CCTV systems and basic network extensions.
