The Hikvision DS-2DE4A225IW-DE(S6) is a professional 2MP PTZ dome network camera designed for long-range surveillance and wide-area monitoring applications. It uses a 1/2.8" progressive scan CMOS sensor delivering Full HD resolution at 1920 × 1080, ensuring reliable identification of subjects in commercial, infrastructure, and public security environments. Powered-by-DarkFighter technology enhances low-light sensitivity, allowing colour imaging down to 0.005 lux and maintaining clarity in challenging lighting conditions. The integrated 4.8–120mm motorized varifocal lens provides powerful 25× optical zoom, enabling operators to capture fine details across large areas. According to the lens specification table on page 2, the camera provides a horizontal field of view ranging from 54.9° at wide angle to 2.7° at maximum zoom, allowing precise monitoring of distant targets. Infrared illumination supports night vision up to 50 metres, ensuring continuous monitoring in complete darkness. The PTZ mechanism supports full 360° pan rotation and -5° to 90° tilt movement, with configurable speeds and up to 300 preset positions for automated patrol and monitoring. Intelligent analytics include face detection, line crossing detection, intrusion detection, unattended baggage detection, and object removal detection. The camera supports H.265+ compression to reduce bandwidth and storage requirements. Built-in microSD card storage supports up to 256GB. Power is supplied via PoE IEEE 802.3at or 12V DC. The IP66-rated housing provides reliable protection against dust and water ingress, making it suitable for outdoor installation.
