Password Reset Camera Connected Via Your NVR
If your camera comes equipped with a reset button, try holding it down for 10 seconds while powering on to restore default settings.
Otherwise, an extra step must be taken in order for the camera(s) to appear in the programs mentioned above. To access the camera(s) you want to reset, you must plug in your PC or MAC next to them. Ideally, you will have a laptop with a LAN/Network port that you can use to connect to one of the camera ports and follow the above instructions to view the cameras on the other ports. If this isn't possible, your only other option is to power a camera with 12 volts and plug this into the back of your router via a POE switch or injector.
Rebooting the NVR is required to force it to try connecting to the camera again after you have reset the password on the camera to match the NVR password.
